We won Best of Class $55-$65 Pinot Noir Category!
It has been awhile since I posted here and I apologize for that, but today is a great day to start back up! This weekend my wife and I will be pouring our Award winning wines at the S.F. Chronicle Wine Competition and if you are heading to the event please come say hello.
The 2015 Pinot Noir is only our second wine release (We Started with 50 cases of Pinot Noir in 2014) and our first time submitting to the competition. You can imagine we were pleasantly surprised to win Best in Class Pinot Noir in the $55-$65 category. We always knew how good the wine is but to see the recognition at such an early stage is the best thing we could hope for. Here is a little bit about the wine for you Wine Geeks like myself.
2015 RUSSIAN RIVER PINOT NOIR
The 2015 Tiny House Vineyard Russian River Pinot Noir is a deep ruby hue and shows notes of Cherry cola, sassafras, spice box, raspberry liquor, dark red fruits and a hint of Vanilla. The tannins are well integrated and the mouth feel is silky yet uplifting. The finish has great length and implores you to take sip after sip. Drink now through 2025.
The vineyard our Pinot Noir comes from sits at an elevation of 700 feet in the Russian River valley and it was planted in 1998 to Clone 114, 115, 777, and 667. The soils found on this beautiful 3 acre vineyard are Sandy Loam and Gold Ridge.
